Pearls & Stripes

What are three things in your closet that you could not do without? For me it's skirts, red shoes and faux pearls. I love faux pearls as much as I love chocolate, I'd love real pearls too but I can't afford them hehe. I have many variations of faux pearl necklaces but I can't stop buying them again and again, not long ago I bought a three strand necklace on Etsy, it should be on it's way and I'm so excited. I love wearing faux pearls, in my opinion they are the definition of charm and elegance.
My 2 strand faux pearl necklace I found at the Antique Flea Market.
Shirt: Talbots / thrifted
Skirt: Made by me
Sweater jacket: Dillards
Shoes: Ralph Lauren/ thrifted
Necklace: vintage/ flea market

Also, I love pearls too, and red shoes go with everything!

I too love fake pearls! I pick them up all the time at thrift stores and garage sales because they're fun to layer and have different lengths on hand! I LOVE the preppy vibe and the skirt is so awesome and stripey!

You know I love this outfit and of course need that sweater jacket in my life.

I love pearls and I actually wore freshwater pearls on my wedding day.

I can't live without:
1. Scarves
2. Belts
3. Blazers

I love that striped skirt! For some reason it reminds me of an Italian Gondola...person...guy. LOL What do they call the guy that steers the gondola? Anyway, I love the stripes paired with the blazer. Tres chic!

I just recently come across your blog and I have to say you have some of the most adorable ensembles. I just love all of them!

And I love all kinds of pearls, too. My parents gave me a set of real pearls (necklace, bracelet, earrings, and a ring) over a series of birthdays and Christmases, but I wear my faux pearls more often than my real ones!
