70's dresses updated

I've been hiding this 70's dress in my closet since last year, I only wore it once and then I put it away. It's a very nice cotton dress but I'm not sure whether I like it on me. When I put it on I can't stop thinking that it looks like I have on a gigantic sheet, but still it's too nice to toss it out so it's been patiently hanging in my closet.
Update: After much thought I changed my mind and changed into this pretty polka dotted drss I thrifted Saturday at Goodwill, don't go running there, I took them all (just kidding). I did find 4 amazing dresses, 3 for me and 1 for a sweet co-worker that loves vintage as much as I do. I hope she likes it.
Ladies I assure you there is a full slip under this dress, that's not my bra. I think the flash made it see-through in real life you can't see my slip.
That day I went to four thrift stores and left empty handed from 3, it wasn't until the last thrift store that I rarely visit that I found the dresses. Sometimes it's good to visit those thrift stores that you usually skip.

This is a great dress! Not sheet like at all. Looks so summery and light too. I absolutely love all of your outfits, you dress so wonderfully. xo

I hate to say it but I liked the first outfit better. It's fabulous! :) The second is nice but not as amazing.

Shey I love the 70's dress, but I believe it would be even better shortened. But maybe that would ruin it?! That would be what I would attempt. :) I love the floral and I love the lace on the waist band and such! Its great long, but maybe shorter would be better?! Just an idea. :) You probably already thought of it.

I love both dresses so much! These I believe are two of my favorite dresses I have seen you wear! :)

Okay, that dress doesn't look like a sheet. I especially love the neckline. That second dress is fabulous, too, though.

I read your blog almost daily but rarely comment.....I just HAD to comment to let you know that both dresses are adorable but I especially LOVE the first one!! It is lovely! You can send it my way if you just absolutely can't stand it! Haha! Seriously, they are both very cute.

That is a beautiful blue dress, one of my favorite colors and it looks great on you.

I love the floral dress! I agree that it needs to be shortened, unless you're wearing it to a retro wedding, maybe. Shorter it would be great for any occasion, even everyday wear. I hope you enjoy it, whatever you choose to do it the dress. It is way too pretty to be stuck away in the closet.

Thank you ladies and well I had not thought about shortening it but now that you tell me I could definitely try it! =D I think I will!

The blue dress is gorgeous on you!
I do love the maxi dress but I would take the sleeves off so you just had the lace straps. If you feel like you have to have sleeves, a pretty cream tee with slim sleeves would be perfect underneath. It is such a great maxi dress, but the sleeves are just a bit too retro. :)

I hate to be the voice of dissent here but I think the first dress is amazing without having to be shortened =] Most of your skirts and dresses are approximately the same in length, so I think it would be nice to have one maxi dress to stand out. I think it looks very unique and feminine and almost princess-like, and I'm afraid shortening it would kind of ruin it a bit by making it more casual =]
