Hi ladies, I'm worn out, my little (big) feet are swollen from standing all day, but I had a great day at church helping out in the kitchen. Last night we saw the movie Letters to God, I spent half the movie crying, it's a true story about a little boy who had brain cancer and started writing letters to God, sending prayers for everyone around him. At the end (spoiler) the little boy dies, yes unfortunately things like that happen, but I was just amazed at his great attitude and faith in Christ, even at such young age he never complained about why he was sick or why he had to go through chemo even though he was teased at school for being bald.
My eyes were puffy from crying last night.

I love the pattern mixing of this outfit! That's kind of been my thing this week...
I would probably cry like a baby at a movie like that but, it's a beautiful story :)
hehe, I hate ironable clothes. I hardly ever wear them. I probably shouldn't buy them(!)
You are right about attitude. People have to deal with awful things, and there is always a choice, to let it bring you down, or to try and rise above it.
In the grand scheme of things, I feel I have no right to complain, but still, I let things drag me down and become apathetic towards life -- I know I have to change my attitude and outlook. I know I have to somehow let myself change.
Chic on the Cheap
You are so right... our attitudes can make such a difference and have such an impact on not only our lives, but to those around us also! I have been wanting to see that movie but I know I am gonna cry like a baby so I keep putting it off!! :)
I have been too shy to mix patterns yet (! scaredy cat I am!) but I love how you mixed yours! It looks so natural, I love it! The skirt is just beautiful.

1. Your pattern mixing is amazing.
2. I always get a little sad around this time of year because it's around the anniversary of my grandfather's death and that makes me think of friends and family I've lost, and your message reminded me of the way God has gotten me through the hard times, so thanks.
Big ol' gingham! Love it! That apron makes an adorable accessory.
I'll have to watch that movie! Have you seen "Wide awake"? It's about a boy's search for God. It's a secular movie, but it gets across an amazing point--- one of my favorites!
your ironable clothes are very cute! i like the mix of patterns a lot. and now i have to make sure to see this movie. it sounds great. ~joelle
I have been wanting to see that movie!! Thanks for the reminder :) Yes, I dislike clothes that need to be ironed!! I have mostly clothes that I can just toss carelessly in my dresser and still can be worn out!
