Dear ladies, this year is going to be a tough one at work! If things don't change at work then I want to change...I want to change my (bad) attitude and impatience towards my boss, regardless of our differences.
Now about this outfit, I love my thrifted red shirt, but it's got an empire waist and by itself it makes me look pregnant, so I added the vest.
Outfit Details: 100% thrifted

Ooo...I know what it's like to have boss trouble. Give it a while, then pursue other opportunities if it just won't work...at least that's what I did.
Taking care of others definitely has more lasting value than another item in your closet. You're a good friend. :)
You are such a good-hearted person! It is so easy to spend money on oneself and not on others, even if our hearts often tell us to do the latter. So good for you for helping your friend!
And I am in love with the vest, it looks so cute! The owl brooch is supercute too, I have a similar one! :)
What a great thing for you to do for someone, good for you. Love the vest, I bought two men's vest while thrifting and need to find a way to work them into an outfit soon.

That is a lot of skirts...
Thank you **so** much for helping her - I know it meant the world to her. And hearing about it cheered me up a bit today - knowing that there are good people and good deeds afoot.....
I love your idea for wearing all your skirts.
Saying a prayer for the situation with the boss....
That brooch is so adorable!!

Those boots are beautiful for sure...but giving to someone in need is more beautiful than any pair of boots could ever be.
Thank you for your kind comments ladies, and Frances thank you soooo much, I do need prayer, I haven't been handleling the situation with grace, in fact I've been frowning about it everyday, but today was better, not my will but His will, maybe I need to learn to obey with grace when there is nothing I can do to change the situation, I know my boss is just following the rules, but I was used to getting spoiled by my former principal, I was one of his favorites...and now I have to win my place again. I guess frowning about haveing way too many students is not going to help. But I'm over the maximum...and it's tiresome. Thank you to all the wonderful ladies that are keeping me on their prayers!
I think it's wonderful that you helped your friend and that she was willing to accept it, it's so good to know you have friends who will help you through things.
In the grand scheme of things yes, what is a pair of boots? You will get them someday. It's better to help mend a broken heart.
Have fun fashioning all your skirts!!
Chic on the Cheap
This post really lifted my spirits today Shey! It's such a good reminder to be generous with our money...in my devotional yesterday I read this quote that really struck me: "A person's treatment of their money is the most decisive test of their character - how they make it and how they spend it."
Praying that you have the grace to handle the situation with your boss, that is hard.:(
Anyway, I love the brilliant red top on you, I think I said it before but red is your color!:)
Have a great day!
That was such a sweet thing for you to do for your friend, she is lucky to have you in her life. Giving always gives you such happiness, I've found this out personally! It most definitely is more blessed to give than receive!
Love your vest! I'm on the lookout for one (or a couple hehe) right now, I think they are so classic. And the owl pin, adorable!
I will say a prayer for you too. I am having boss troubles too. She is doing her job and probably is working hard to move up in the company. So I can not blame her. Just makes my job a little more stresses at times. I am only a lunch lady. lol.
God watches over you and he knows your kind heart. Its not the time for you to have the boots. I bet if you keep watching you can get them at a better price or something better. For now your friend can attend her class that she needs so badly. That was wonderful what you did for her. :)
The outfit is so cute!!! I dont wear skirts. I am a blue jean girl myself. But love that you have enough skirts to wear for a month with no repeats. lol. :)
Ohh! I love this vest! It reminds me of Christmas!!
