Sunday Best: Chocolate & Red

Hi beautiful ladies! I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday. Guess what? I'm going to be a Sunday school teacher! I'm very happy and grateful to God for this oportunity. Today I was going to observe a class to kind of get the feeling of what they do (I am a teacher but I haven't taught Sunday school before). When I got there the Sunday school teacher was very happy to see me because she was feeling very ill and she was going to leave! What? Okay...I thought I was there to observe but at the end I had to teach the class and I must say we did pretty well. The Lord never gives us more than we can handle. I was very touched to see children at such young age profess their love for God. It was all very good.
Today's outfit is all chocolately! I love chocolate!
The dress came with it's own brown ribbon belt but I wanted to make it more fun so I wore a vintage belt instead. I liked the dress because it has a 50's feel to it.
This belt has little stones in the front, I couldn't keep my fingers away from them.
I bought the bag at a vintage store that was closing down, it's got little rossettes sewn all around it and a golden chain band.
Outfit Details: 100% thrifted
Dress: Banana Republic $9
Vintage belt: estate sale $1
Vintage bag: $10

Thanks ladies so much, I'm very happy about this and I'm really looking forward to doing my best! I'm very happy to hear that some of you have experience as Sunday school teachers!

I helped each a sunday school class once. I don't remember what age but they were little, and we were planting mustard seeds.

I wrote one little boys name on his cup of dirt and he started crying because I write my 'a's with the little arch above them and apparently that was very wrong of me to ruin his name like that.

But anyway, I'm sure you will have a wonderful time in sunday school and you've got plenty of experience!

Love the print on the dress and your vintage belt, sooo pretty!

I love chocolate too, the food and the color. I like it a lot with red! I need to pair it more, you've inspired me. Lovely bag.

You'll have to read about my Sunday School/regular school adventures on my other blog, www.chandradlockett.com!

I am so very much in love with this look. I love dresses and have been on the prowl for vintage dresses over the past few weeks. I'm trying to get back into my thrift/vintage mode, and I've found some fabulous dresses. I'll have to post some pics after I take them to the tailor. I love dresses with print because I love wearing contrasting belts. This color looks so well on you!!

I always do that, not wearing my dresses with the belt they came with, but using one of my own. It's so much more interesting that way!

I love the combination of chocolate and red.
Also, yay for teaching Sunday school. I started when I was fourteen and did it until I moved up to the Philly area about two years ago - it's so much fun!
